Day 32 - Sunday May 21, 2017 - Harrogate

We went over to Jenny’s about 9 am, stopping on the way to get some breakfast supplies. As it transpired that neither Chloe nor Emma were going to be ‘at home’ this morning, we postponed our visits to after lunch. We eventually went in to town though we first parked the car back at the hotel and walked from there. A few errands completed, including getting a top up voucher for my phone and collecting tomorrow’s train tickets from the station, we made our way to Bistrot Pierre for lunch. We were the first to arrive but by 12.30, the rest of the group was there (Abi, Andy and Bella; Chloe and Chris; Emma, Jayson and Dylan; Imogen, Andy, Jessica and Evie; Ewan was an absentee as he had a football ceremony to attend).

Lunch was generally good, though with a group of 15 the service was at times a bit slow and, more particularly, a bit disorganised as they forgot drink orders, brought a wrong dish, etc. To their credit, they voluntarily took 10% off the bill because of their poor service. It was 3.30 or so by the time we left.

After lunch, we went over to see Chloe and Chris’s new house, which is currently in a state of disarray as they are in the middle of renovations; no doubt it will be good and much improved once all the work is completed. We then visited Emma and Jayson’s ‘new’ house (they moved last September) as we hadn’t seen it before. By that time, it was after six so we headed back to Jenny’s, stopping on the way to fill up the car so we don’t have to do it in the morning. After a drink at Jenny’s, we eventually headed back to the hotel, to get packed up and ready for the trip to London tomorrow.
