Day 35 - Wednesday May 24, 2017 - London to Hong Kong
Time to move on again. We (that is, Anne-Margaret) packs the bags and then we go round the corner for coffee and a muffin. Back to pick up the bags and check out and then two stops on the Jubilee line to Baker Street, three stops on the Bakerloo line to Paddington and then the 9.25 am Heathrow Express to Heathrow. No delays at check in or security and off to the Cathay lounge.
We push back on time at 12.25 pm, wheels up at 12.40 and, after an uneventful 11+ hour flight, we land in Hong Kong a few minutes early a little before 7 am. As we were in no rush to get in to town (as we weren’t expecting to be able to check in), we stopped in the Arrivals lounge for a shower. When we got to the hotel (Holiday Inn in Kowloon, where we’ve stayed before) about 8.30 am, they had a room available, provided we didn’t mind two double beds instead of the king that was booked, so that was a bonus.
Not much in the way of photos today, as not much happened – Anne-Margaret on the plane, the smoked eel starter at lunch (which was very nice) and some shots from the under-fuselage camera as we came in to land.
